Terms & Conditions

We will not baffle you with T&C's so long that you do not want to read them. We keep it fair and simple. Our terms and conditions here are for internet and mail order customers only. Trade customers and distributors of Re-Paint have there own distribution contracts separate to these. Any commercial contracts or tenders we undertake have there own T&C's. Please note that the Distance Selling Regulations and Disclaimer are lower down this page. we recommend you read them for safety and security.

 

1. All information on this website is known to be correct, however all information is taken 'as it is'. Its is intended for guidance only.

2. We do not store any sensitive personal information such as card details, etc. We use Barclaycard Merchant services for all credit & debit card transactions. You can also use paypal, both are well known financial institutes and are both safe and secure.

3. As we are sending out paints and liquids, there can be the odd occasion where damage arises. This is the risk of delivering such items. Its very rare, but it can happen. When it does happen couriers are not always so keen to let us know, its not good news. We would much rather know straight away to get a replacement sent out. However if you have not received your order within 5 working days do get in touch with us so we can track the item. As well as damages comes losses. Yes couriers have there moments. Again, it can be a few days before we are made aware, so please remember this when ordering. We always aim for next day delivery, and 99% of sales get to there destination safely and quickly. We do take extra care to pack items well to further eliminate any problems.

4. Postage costs can not be refunded (incoming or outgoing), only the item costs, unless the error is our fault. We are happy to accept returns, but we do not refund postage costs.

5. We are mail order or internet only. We no longer operate our trade counter in our Kent branches. We do have various offices around London, Kent and Essex. We also have sales representatives on the road so if you wanted to collect an order in person, this is still possible by arrangement.

6. International and European orders are welcome. You will need to telephone or email us to arrange the delivery and payment. UK customers can purchase online in the usual way. Our online system does not process deliveries to outside the UK. We are looking to extend to this feature in the future.

7. Should there be a problem with your order, you must inform us as soon as possible and within 2 working days. Please allow us the chance to put any errors right. If your item arrives damaged, please refuse to sign for it, or check the contents to see if its still usable before signing. A dented tin can be lived with, its the paint inside that's needed, but a split open can is a problem! You should refuse to take the delivery if its damaged to an unusable extent. If you sign for a damaged parcel, you are signing to say it is in good condition. This can cause a problem with obtaining the compensation for a damaged item from the courier, thus reducing your chances of a refund. PLEASE refuse any damaged item and have it returned to sender (us). The return address's can be found on the contact us page here.

Distance Selling Regulations - As required by Trading Standards

You are covered by law to change your mind. We have no problem with customers that change their mind and want a refund. However, we can only refund the item cost, not the outgoing or return postage costs. You have a 7 day cooling off period. You can see all your up-to-date rights online by following this link:

Please note that once a tin is opened it can not be returned. We know when a tin is opened because they are vacuum sealed in the factory. This is not for security checks! Its because once air is in the tin, a skin will eventually form on the top surface. This is fine when we all buy a tin of paint and use it, save a little for later or for touch in's as and when needed - If it has the skin on top it can be removed and the good paint is underneath. However if you buy a new tin of paint to find a skin already formed, from where it has been previously opened, well, its disappointing for you. Hence we do not redistribute returned cans of paint, nor can we accept a return that has been opened. We hope this explains clearly the situation and shows that its a fair policy all round.

If there is a problem at our end or with our couriers, then responsibility is with us - And we will do our best to resolve such issues immediately. PLEASE remember, if the item arrives damaged, do not sign for it. If you do sign for it, you should add a note in capital letters saying 'PARCEL DAMAGED' where you sign and at the least check the contents for damage/leaks. This enables us to obtain a refund for your damaged item to reimburse you. This is a very rare instance, however, its only fair that you are made aware of how to deal with such an incident to cover yourself and protect your rights.

There may be more equipment available, but this is the minimal suggestion but it could be incomplete. If in any doubt, always obtain professional advice first.
