Reasons for doing this job:
There is a few good reasons. The first that comes to mind is for the good looks, especially on a show car for example. The pictures dont serve it enough justice. However it does give you an idea of the results achieved quite easily. The serious reasons for carrying out such a job also include:
1 - Re-Paint will protect vital parts from corrsion. Sure the bushes, etc still need attention and maintenance as usual. But, Re-Paint will prevent suspension components such as anti roll bars, subframes and raduis arms from corrosion. Bushes are cheap, subframes, radius arms, etc are not cheap!
2 - The vehicle may need a freshen up. You can use Re-Paint to give a new lease of life to trailers, trucks, vans, cars, gates, railings, stuctures, outside buildings, garage doors and more.
3 - The vehicle may be a classic, race spec or other specialist vehicle. It pays to protect the components, chassis and other vital areas from corrosion. Its also a good selling point for in the future. Think about it, if someone takes the time to do such work to their vehicle, you know it is well looked after. And you also have the peace of mind that knowing all parts, chassis, etc are protected.
3 - Another really good point to make is how much easier it is to clean off dirt, grime and mud. It just falls off! And then looks as good as when the job was first done. We have got vehicles we have done this to ourselves, and after 5 years they are still looking as good as when first done!
4 - It looks really, really good!! The Motorhome looked as good as new when done!
